Collaboration with Grade 6 Humanities

During the first trimester, students have been learning to make strong word choices in their writing. In the following link to my blog, you will see a slideshow with a few pictures of grade 6 students saying goodbye to "dead words" forever.

Collaboration with Grade 7

I attended Jason Ohler's weekend workshop, Digital Storytelling. During the workshop, I collaborated with Grade 7 Humanities teacher, Rachel deRozario, to create a digital story to describe SLCs. We asked another Grade 7 teacher, Julie McDaid, to be the main character in our story. Click the graphic below. It is a link to my blog posting with the iMovie. Seventh grade teachers showed the SLC iMovie to their Homebase classes as a spring board to a discussion of SLCs.
